These are just a few of the many benefits to solid surface    countertops:

Solid Beauty - Because the color and pattern of Solid Surface materials is consistent throughout, most damage
can simply be sanded out. It is not recommended to cut directly on any countertop. Matching solid surface
cutting boards can be manufactured to cut on.

Integral Seams - Because solid surfaces use bonded integral seams, joints appear almost invisible, and are impervious to moisture. This creates a surface that is uniform, and free of joints that can not only break up the visual lines of a top, but can allow moisture to penetrate through the top. This also allows for easy repairs of almost any damage.

Integral Sinks - The integral seaming properties allows for solid surface sinks to be installed without any visible seams.

Durability -  Most Solid Surface carried by New Surface Co have a full 10-year warrantee against defects in the product and installation. This assures that your solid surface top will remain beautiful for years to come.

Sanitary - Because solid surface materials are non-porous, it is difficult for microbes to grow on them. This produced a top that is ideal for food preparation areas. Many solid surface materials have FDA compliance for food contact, and ASTM G-21 and ASTM G-22 qualifications for bacterial resistance.

Heat Resistance - Most of the solid surface materials carried by New Surface Co carry a Class I(A) fire rating. Cast acrylic solid surface materials meet the stringent Category 6 standards which require no delay between constant exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Even so, it is not recommended that you place a hot pan directly on any countertop. A matching solid surface cutting board can be manufactured to put hot pans on.

Design Flexibility - Because of the solid beauty and integral seaming properties of Solid Surface, there are very few layout restrictions. This design flexibility is ideal for complex forms and work areas.
