How long will it last?
A bathtub or ceramic tile wall resurfaced by New Surface should easily last 10 to 15 years with proper care and maintenance. In fact, many of our jobs done over 10 years ago still look great!

How durable is it?
As technology improves so many things, the coatings used by New Surface are incredibly durable. Our surfaces are designed to stand up to their intended use and do not require special care. However, just like a brand new surface, a refinished surface can be chipped or scratched if abused. Please contact New Surface Co. if your new surface becomes damaged.

Will my tub look painted?
Absolutely not! In fact, most people would have a difficult time telling the difference between a new bathtub and a refinished one. Resurfacing is that good if it is done right.

How long will it take?
A standard size bathtub in reasonable condition will take around 3 to 4 hours to resurface. The tub will normally be ready to use within 48 hours or even sooner with special curing procedures.

How much does it cost?
Prices vary across the country, but refinishing will almost always be a fraction of the cost of replacement. It can easily cost up to $3000 to replace a bathtub when you consider all of the costs involved. Refinishing can usually save you up to 70% in comparison to the cost of replacement.

Is white the only color available?
No, New Surface can match existing colors or create almost any custom color or your choosing.

What if my fixture is damaged?
Small chips and cracks can usually be repaired during the preparation stage of the refinishing process. Often if is just a single chip, for instance, we can fill and refinish just the damaged area. With careful color matching, the repaired chip will be practically invisible.

Is refinishing just for bathtubs?
No! Refinishing is great for a variety of surfaces including fiberglass shower stalls, kitchen Formica counter tops, ceramic tile, cultured marble vanity tops, and acrylic tubs.

Is there a difference between New Surface and other refinishers?
Yes! New Surface is an independent company rather than a franchise. Therefore, we do not have fees or dues to pay allowing us to keep our prices lower than many of our competitors.

Is there a warranty?
Yes, New Surface offers a limited five-year warranty against peeling or other failure of adhesion for bathtubs, wall tile, and fiberglass. That's longer than what the manufacturers offer for new products. Sinks, counter tops, floors, chip repairs, and all other surfaces are warranted for a period of one year

How do I clean my new surface?
Any bathroom foam spray cleaner works great. You may also use products such as Fantastic, 409, and Scrub Free.
